More than 4,300 students in Montenegro took part in Bebras Challenge 2024-2025, organized by NGO Tinker and supported by Oracle Academy

"As an international competition organized in over 80 countries around the globe, the Bebras Challenge helps get students interested and excited about computing.

NGO Tinker, focused on enhancing STEM education for youth, is experienced in organizing open-access workshops, competitions, and other carefully curated events for thousands of children across Montenegro, such as “Igramiranje” and “Python for all” workshops.

After two years of successful piloting of Bebras Challenge in Montenegro, with thousands of participating students, thanks to the good ratings received from other member countries, NGO Tinker, and thus Montenegro, became a full member of the international Bebras initiative in 2024.

Every year, computer scientists and mathematicians from all member countries of the Bebras initiative prepare and select the best new Bebras challenges. Among the tasks included in the final selection of the challenge for each of the previous three years, there are tasks proposed by Montenegro. As a preparation for the competition, students are invited to online workshops, where they can see what the competition will look like and try solving some of the challenges.

During the challenge, students are given 45 minutes to answer 15 multiple-choice questions that focus on computational and logical thinking and can be completed using computers without any preparation or studying.

This year, the Bebras Challenge 2024-2025 was open to all students from Montenegro, no matter the level of their current success in schools. The students were gathered in primary and secondary school classrooms across the country and had online access to the questions. This year, 4,337 primary and secondary school students in 49 locations across Montenegro competed in five categories.

The ceremonial awarding of medals won at the Bebras Challenge 2024-2025 competition took place in early February 2025, in the crowded amphitheater of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics of the University of Montenegro, in Podgorica. Oracle Academy was delighted to be part of this organization as gold sponsor, helping to keep it free of charge for students, and support the organizers in piquing the interest of students in logical thinking, computing, development, and learning in a fun and compelling way.

Više od 4.300 učenika u Crnoj Gori učestvovalo u Dabar izazovu 2024–2025, koji organizuje NVO Tinker uz podršku Oracle Academy

„Kao međunarodno takmičenje koje se organizuje u više od 80 zemalja širom sveta, Dabar izazov (Bebras Challenge) pomaže da se kod učenika probudi interesovanje i uzbuđenje za računarstvo.

NVO Tinker, koja se fokusira na unapređenje STEM obrazovanja mladih, ima bogato iskustvo u organizovanju radionica otvorenog tipa, takmičenja i drugih pažljivo osmišljenih događaja za hiljade dece širom Crne Gore, kao što su radionice ‘Igramiranje’ i ‘Python za sve’.

Posle dve godine uspešnog pilot-projekta Dabar izazova u Crnoj Gori, u kojem su učestvovale hiljade učenika, zahvaljujući dobrim ocenama drugih zemalja članica, NVO Tinker, a time i Crna Gora, postala je punopravna članica međunarodne Dabar inicijative 2024. godine.

Svake godine, informatičari i matematičari iz svih zemalja članica Dabar inicijative pripremaju i biraju najbolje nove izazove. Među zadacima koji su ušli u konačni izbor u prethodne tri godine, nalaze se i zadaci koje je predložila Crna Gora.
Kao pripremu za takmičenje, učenici su pozvani na onlajn radionice, gde mogu da vide kako izgleda takmičenje i da pokušaju da reše neke od izazova.

Tokom samog takmičenja, učenici imaju 45 minuta da odgovore na 15 pitanja sa višestrukim izborom odgovora, koja su usmerena na razvoj računarskog i logičkog razmišljanja, a mogu se rešavati na računarima bez prethodne pripreme ili učenja.

Ove godine, Dabar izazov 2024–2025 bio je otvoren za sve učenike iz Crne Gore, bez obzira na njihov trenutni školski uspeh. Učenici su se takmičili u učionicama osnovnih i srednjih škola širom zemlje, sa onlajn pristupom zadacima.
Ukupno 4.337 učenika osnovnih i srednjih škola iz 49 lokacija u Crnoj Gori takmičilo se u pet kategorija.

Svečana dodela medalja Dabar izazova 2024–2025 održana je početkom februara 2025. godine u prepunom amfiteatru Prirodno-matematičkog fakulteta Univerziteta Crne Gore u Podgorici.
Oracle Academy je s ponosom bio zlatni sponzor ovog događaja, omogućivši da učešće za učenike bude potpuno besplatno, i podržao organizatore u njihovoj misiji da kod dece razvijaju interesovanje za logičko razmišljanje, računarstvo, programiranje i učenje na zabavan i inspirativan način.
